從 1993 年開始，John 早已成為網路工程人員了，也是那群少數「幸運」的人，得以使用最早期圖型瀏覽器 Mosaic 1.0！
從 1994 年開始，John 開始了專業的網路工程師的生涯，但直到 2005 年，John 才開始了解如何使用更簡單的方式來建構自己的網路應用平台，那就是使用 Drupal 這個強大軟體。
自此之後，John 再也沒有回頭了。
在 Drupal 社群中，大家都知道 JohnAlbin（drupal.org id）就是 John，也是 Drupal 7 的 Top 20 開發者之一。
John 早先也開發了 Zen Theme，Zen 是一個非常好的版型開發架構，有豐富的文件、為開發者貼心準備好的功能、以及彈性的 CSS 架構。
John 目前也著手寫一本關於 Drupal 7 和模組開發的書。
John Wilkins has been a web developer for a long time.
In April 1993, he was one of the lucky few to use the very first graphical web browser, Mosaic 1.0, and he’s been doing web development professionally since 1994.
In 2005, John finally learned how idiotic it is to build your own web application framework and discovered the power of Drupal; he never looked back.
In the Drupal community, John Wilkins is best known as JohnAlbin, one of the top 20 contributors to Drupal 7 and the maintainer of the Zen theme, which is a highly-documented, feature-rich “starter” theme with a powerfully flexible CSS framework.
He is also a co-author of the upcoming book, Learning Drupal 7 Module Development.
John currently works with a bunch of really cool Drupal developers and themers at Palantir.net in Chicago, Illinois.
